Delete Temporary Internet files

The first time you visit a web site, it can sometimes take awhile to load. Ever notice your second visit to that site is normally faster?
Your first visit you download everything that is needed at once to a temporary folder for later use.
(Example: their menu, background, fonts and so forth).
The second time you pull up the same site most pictures and so forth will be loaded from your computer without the long download.
The bad news is... that most pop-up ads and sites you only look at once are taking up space and slowing down your PC. Here's how to fix that:

Open Internet Explorer
From the tools menu at the top pick Internet Options...
From your new window, pick Delete Files... then OK

Note: This process can sometimes take a good while to run if it's something you have never done.

Can't Get Your Email Attachments?

After upgrading to Internet Explorer 6 or higher you are no longer able to get email attachments. Microsoft has added a new feature to Outlook Express that by default changes the setting to allow attachments to not be downloaded. Here's how you fix it...

First, open Outlook Express.
Click Tools at the Top of the Window, then choose Options (A new box will open)
At the top of that box click the Security Tab
About mid way down you will see a check box that reads...
Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus.
Remove the check mark from that box, click Apply and then OK.

Outlook Express will now download any new attachments that may come in. Your old attachments will have to be re-emailed.
